This scribe travelled from Karachi to Islamabad as part of February elections coverage. People’s pulse is known to communicate message which we see on screens and in print. One noticed the people’s tonality and physicality changes as the camera starts recording them. I accept that I wasn’t aware of the political mood of the common person previously which we don’t witness often. This silent majority is quite clear about their stance on elections that are being held on 8 February. It was surprising when I spoke with a young boy hardly 12-year-old who doesn’t have a vote, he says that even if I can’t vote because of age my heart will give the vote to PTI.
